Japan Skin Care Haul: Must-Have Products Everyone’s Loving

Japan shopping is unreal. There are so many shopping districts and malls to choose from that I recommend taking two empty suitcases!

And while I love browsing Japanese fashion and snacks, shopping for skincare abroad is my new favorite hobby. I love wandering through pharmacy aisles and discovering products I’ve never even heard of before. There’s something really special about finding new beauty gems in a different country. I also appreciate all the beauty girls online sharing their input. I was totally influenced, thank you!

Here’s a breakdown of the items I bought, with links for those that can be found on Amazon. Most pieces were purchased at Matsumoto Kiyoshi and Daikoku Drugstore for under 1,000 yen, about $6.40 usd.

Korean Facials:

These were $2 and $1. They went into the shopping bag without hesitation.

Sunscreen:

These are both trending online. It's known to be light weight without leaving residue. I got the spray for on the go touch ups and to use in my hairline in the summer.

Makeup Setting Spray:

  • Make Keep Mist

Another influenced purchase. This is a summer item for me, as it claims to work in humidity.

Lip Balm:

The formula is thicker than most lip balms & feels like it's penetrating deeper, not just sitting on top of the lips, which I love.

Vitamin C:

This was half internet influenced and half - I ran out of vitamin c serum.

Eye Cream:

Thicker formula, which I like for my maturing skin. I bought two for backup.

Acne Treatment:

This goes on a clean face before moisturizer. Let it dry before applying night cream. For me, it helps bring pimples to surface and reduce swelling/redness.

Dead Skin Remover:

  • Tsubuporon Special Care Gel

I haven't used it yet but, we'll update when I do. I have two skin tags I'd like to remove.

Hand Cream:

  • The Retinotime Wrinkle Repair Hand Cream

This was a personal recommendation from a clerk at Matsumoto & I love it for my night routine.

Hair Mask:

It works for me & I like the scent. We bought one to use in Japan and brought another home.

Hope this helps! As always, some links may be affiliated at no cost. Thank you for your support.

Xx
