Honey and sriracha are staples around here. Combine the two and you have an easy marinade ready in seconds.
This recipe is quick and made with basic ingredients. All you need is salt, pepper, honey, sriracha, and an air fryer.
If you do not have an air fryer, preheat the oven to 425 degrees and cook the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes. To make clean up easier, line your tray pan with parchment paper. Easy peasy.
Lets get to it...
Honey Sriracha Salmon
INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, combine honey and sriracha. Mix well.
Brush salmon with olive oil.
Season with salt (or garlic salt) and pepper.
Spread or pour the honey mixture over the salmon. Coat well and let it marinate at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes.
Spray the air fryer tray with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the salmon in the air fryer tray and cook at 400 degrees for 8 to10 minutes, depending on size of salmon and personal caramelization preferences.
Serve over white rice with vegetables of choice.

Serve over rice, paired with fresh cucumber, shredded carrot, sliced green onions, avocado and extra sriracha. Spicy mayo pairs well too, if you prefer.
If you're a spicier individual, here's a version with red pepper flakes and garlic added to the honey sriracha marinade.

I cooked this salmon for 12 minutes to show the difference in caramelization. I usually inspect at 8 to 9 minutes and cook for an additional 2 minutes until desired doneness.
Asian Cucumber Salad
Here’s a little bonus recipe for my Asian-style cucumbers, since there’s a new version of the salmon bowl on the socials.
2 to 3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tbsp sriracha
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 english cucumber, sliced
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic. Pour mixture over the cucumbers. Combine well, cover, and let the cucumbers marinate in the fridge for about an hour before serving.
I like to serve as a salmon bowl with rice, edamame, and sliced avocado. Similar to the original bowl above, but better IMO. 😉
